This webquest was designed for my 11th and
12th grade Marine Science Students. However I
believe it could be appropriate for grades 7-12
with some minor modifications
- This webquest can be differenitated to allow for
many learning styles to benefit from this lesson
Using Gardners eight intelligences We see that this webquest or most webquests for that matter can be useful in targeting a variety of learning styles and preferences.
=The Class presentation and making of a powerpoint will appeal to those Verbal/ Linguistic and Visual/ Spatial Learners.
=The Presentation and working within various groups will appeal to those interpersonal and Intrapersonal learners
=The collecting and interpration of data will appeal to your Logical/ Mathematical Learners
=Musical learners can be enticed with subtopics such as whale songs, the sofar channel and sonar in relation to whales
=The idea of this being a hands on lesson with them in more of control of the content and design will appeal to your Kinesthetic learners.
=The Naturalist learner will love seeing it all being put together and seeing the connection between man and nature
